A strong focus on improving educational opportunities for the poor majority will bring better equality in wage differentials between skilled and unskilled workers.

Education is the most easily measured form of human capital.  It is, like land and other forms of wealth, an asset.  It is a special asset as it cannot be stolen or sold.  It cannot be alienated from its owner.  Families in 3rd World Countries, faced with survival, must often remove their children from school and put them to work in order to increase their earning potential.

We were stunned to discover how early in life a static 3rd World ecomony and poverty affects the family as a whole.  Many families remove their children from the education system and send them out into the streets to work in order to have enough money on a daily basis to purchase food to survive.

Our program goal is to keep children off the streets and put higher education in the hands of a head of household where families are self-sufficient and become strong examples in their communities that through education there is stability and a comfortable life.

Student recipients work with our mission service projects.  Students study English as a second language and then provide much needed language translations during Short-Term Service Mission Trips.  Through their experience they learn social and community responsibility while ensuring or continuing their education.

These simple acts of generosity, the power of a pay-it-forward mindset and how that can promote trust and connection in their communities creates leaders that others strive to follow.
